St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow’s Red Square is undeniably one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world. No matter how many times you have seen it before, it catches your breath again and again.

I was in Moscow for work and I made it down to see the Kremlin, Red Square, and St. Basil’s Cathedral. After walking up from the metro’s underground, I came upon this beautiful sight—the light, reflections, wet ground. So I set up for my shot, lens cap off, ready, set, and BOOM. This guy walks up in front of me with his camera phone and snaps a few. I was annoyed at first, until, of course, I saw the result. It’s one of my favorite shots ever. Some of the best ones just happen out of luck or fate.
